Ryan Neal Cordwell for Sonoran Stems

At Sonoran Stems we are dedicated to protecting our sacred growing space. We do our very best to ensure sustainable and regenerative agriculture methods are at our forefront. We practice the no-till method to further build our soil and protect living organisms. We never use toxic chemicals on our flowers. We farm by the phases of the moon, we pause, we listen, we give.

Cachaé transplanted from the Southside of Chicago, has sought to sustainably grow speciality cut-flowers, in an environment as unexpected as it is breathtaking; the Arizona Sonoran Desert. She has incrementally forged a path, self-taught and self-funded through hard work, research, and most notably, trial and error. Overcoming industry and regional challenges to nurture these varieties otherwise economically and environmentally impairing, she looks to support her community and local florists with access to these flowers to those who share space in the desert. In part, her farm efforts serve as a reminder that,

we too come from the Earth.
